I am looking for some Hotel ideas! We will be staying at a christian bible camp for 1/2 of our time but would like to stay at a hotel in Delhi that is nice but not real expensive. I am hopeful those of you that have traveled will have good ideas. Anything else you want to recommend (restraunts, tours etc.) would be helpful. This whole planning thing is hard for me, I am not a risk taker when it comes to food or places to stay. I like to know that I will like it!!!!
We are just starting to plan our trip and it looks like we will be leaving in 3 weeks. Hopefully, this week we will have exact dates.
Thanks in advance for the ideas!
Cheryl

The Hyatt in Delhi is wonderful!!! We LOVED it and would stay there again for sure. They have the BEST breafasts. We have also stayed at The Metropolitan (formerly the Nikko) and it was nice, but we didn't like it as much as the Hyatt.
For restaurants, there are awesome ones in Delhi!!! I will check back in my journal to see the exact names. We used a Frommer's guide and everything we tried that they recommended was very good and safe!
I'm so happy you are finally traveling!!!!!!! Your relief must feel soooooooo good. And I can't wait to see pictures of sweet Adia in your arms!!

I recommend getting a Frommers or going to their website - they have great hotel, tour, and restaurant recommendations.
I can't wait to see you with your girl :)
Maybe we will have good suggestions after we go to Delhi.
This is such exciting news. There seems to be quite a few families traveling all around the same time :-) It will be fun to follow your journey to India.
When my husband and I were in India last August on a mission trip we stayed at Hotel Palace Heights. The staff was very friendly, we felt safe, it was right in the middle of Delhi by a huge park, tons of shopping, and food options. The hotel restaurant had outstanding food. I have not idea how much it cost, because it was all factored into the total cost of our trip and was organized by our contact in Delhi.
I would love to know where you end up staying and more about the youth camp too. I am always looking at different options for options for when we go and pick up our baby girl :-)
I will pray for you the whole time, I just wish I could be there to kiss her sweet face when you fly back in! I will see you in July. I love you!!!
We were in a bind, since we traveled right around the Nov./Dec. holidays -- there was very little available. We ended up staying at a fabulous small hotel called The Manor, but it was expensive. They had a great restaurant on site too.
I'm so happy you're at the travel plan stage!
